We were delighted to present in the luxurious Gyldensteen room of the Hotel Phoenix Copenhagen, Denmark, the first exhibition of Apollo to Apollo "The future meets the past in the present" to a large number of friends, colleagues, family members, collaborators and artists. It was the first time in history that ancient miniature art could be seen at an art exhibition together with the work of contemporary artists (paintings, sculptures, jewellery, art prints).
It was a successful event, the guests were impressed by the fusion of ancient miniature art and contemporary art by the artist Rama King Nash, the sculptor Carsten Fun Jensen, the jewellery maker Edita Houhou and the photographer Henrik Schurmann. The books 'The hunt for the divine and eternal beauty" and "Masters of Miniature Art" were also presented for the first time to the public.
The exhibition was held in simultaneity with the auction of one of the few and most valuable pieces of miniature art, an spectacular but brutal ancient monument of less than 20 mm and 4 grams, in the Bruun Rasmussen auction house a few meters away from the Phoenix Copenhagen.
